Order of Merits
I caddie for Ezekiel in tournaments that allow parents to caddie. I am quite accurate with the yardages up to +- 2 yds.
I am also Ezekiel’s daily trainer. I implement the plan of Ezekiel’s coaches. I am also Ezekiel’s father.
I have been coaching Ezekiel since he was 4 years old. He is one of my youngest and is definitely the longest I have coached so far.
Ezekiel is a quick and focus learner of the game and has potentials to be a great player.
Wan Juhrah Muntek
I am Ezekiel’s most favourite person, his mother. I provide good food and prepare for his tournaments.
At times when Ezekiel need extra motivation, he will come to me for my words of encouragement and support.
He does not realize it, but I make his mental strong, with a sibling rivalry. Although he is always better than I am, I can lift his spirit to play better.
We practice together during the weekend.
Ezekiel Riz Hafi was unintentionally exposed to golf at the age of 1.5 years old. At the time, he would follow his father to watch him hit balls at the driving range while waiting for her sister to finish her art class. After some time, Ezekiel started to ask for his father’s club to hit. Since the club was long and heavy, it was difficult for him to swing. So he bought toy clubs for Ezekiel to hit. Since the toys club was very frequently used, the clubs got damaged quite easily. So Suzearitz ended up having to always buy new golf toy clubs every 2,3 & 4 weeks for replacement. One day, when Ezekiel was 2.5, his father cut-short a wood and gave it to Ezekiel, and Ezekiel would hit 100 or 200 balls per session with it.
When Ezekiel turns 3, his father bought him a junior half club set and from there on, it was no turning back. By the age of 3.5 years old he has already has a good swing.
Ezekiel played his 1st ever tournament at the age of 5 yo, playing in the 7 yo category of the Kids Golf World Championship Malaysia 2014. In 2015, at the age of 6 yo, Ezekiel started playing in under 8 of the national junior circuit scoring 100 podium but did not win an event. In 2016, 2017 and 2018, he won 100% of the events in his category. Ezekiel also played in higher category, namely the under 12 and under 13.
Ezekiel currently trains under the watchful eye of Chris Holden. Ezekiel also trains with Tunas Bestari group. Ezekiel trains 6 days a week for Golf.
